· UL 508A: the most widely accepted standard for control panels in North America · Compliance to new Article 409 – Article 409 outlining installation requirements for industrial control panels will be included in the 2005 edition of the National Electrical Code®, NFPA 70. With certification to UL 508A, your panel can be installed as required by Article 409 and the NEC. · One Mark, two countries – The U.S./Canada combination UL Listing Mark on an industrial control panel provides immediate acceptance by inspection authorities in the United States and Canada and increases the marketability of your products. · Increased component sourcing – In November 2003, UL and CSA International announced a formal Component Acceptance Agreement that permits acceptance of specific components for use in end-products, including industrial control panels.
