For a Fortune 100 chemical company, Hegwood Electric designed, built and commissioned 14 Industrial PC’s controlling the plants entire batching system. For this project we used Entivity’s Think & Do Software and AutomationDirect Ethernet I/O. The customer enters recipes into the system and then the system handles over 40 raw products conveying, weighing, mixing and tracking them to batching tanks and then to finished product containers. At the I/O level, we also used ASi field bus to control over 60 valves.
With this customer, we integrated Canary Labs trending software to monitor the process for historical data. |
